Who are Ace Garage
Mark Jutan is the owner of ACE Garage and has been involved in the motor industry for over 24 years. He is especially passionate about classic cars and motorcycles. Mark has spent the last 10 years building a workshop specializing in classic British brands particularly Rolls Royce and Bentley. During this time he has gained an eye for detail and acquired the knowledge needed to repair a classic using the very best materials and service providers in South Africa. Before that, he was building high-performance cars and gained a wealth of technical knowledge.

After years of disappointment with so-called "classic car specialists", I decided to give Ace Garage a try. It was a good decision and I am delighted with the results. My 1996 TVR Griffith 500 is not a straightforward car to work on as there are no workshop manuals available and it is very much a case of 'let's try this'. It does not help that my Griff 500 is the only example in South Africa. In a nutshell, the Ace team removed, renovated and replaced the radiator which was leaking and then cleverly solved a problem with a faulty temp gauge sensor. Next they addressed the serious oil leak which appeared to be coming from the rear crankshaft oil seal which would require an expensive engine/gearbox-out exercise. Not so! The problem was cured by replacing the cruciform seals on the rear main bearing cap while the engine was in situ. Also, the sump geometry was corrected to create a flush surface with the block and a new sump gasket was made by hand and fitted. Hey presto - no more oil leaks. The owner, Mark Jutan, has ably demonstrated his in depth mechanical knowledge and experience and his ability to think laterally rather than going for the big engine/gearbox out approach. For the first time, I can highly recommend a South African "classic car specialist". On on top of that, my bill was unbelievably low considering the time and effort spent on my car.Posted on Google muhommed HoosenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. From the moment you walk in, you are taken care of and welcomed by the staff and most of all by Mark himself. Mark's indepth knowledge and expertise can be seen in the superb work he does on his cars. I am very impressed with the work done on My Rolls Royce Silver Shadow and would most certainly recommend this Garage to anyone needing assistance on their modern or classic car.
Classic Car Sales
For the Classics and Exotics Enthusiast, the purchase and or sale of a car is not just a financial transaction. It’s an investment of interest, time and self. The sale and transfer of these Cars are therefore dealt with differently, than that of a regular vehicle. The match needs to be perfect, the detail is important and process seamless. Mark, a specialist in this space, has both the technical knowledge, quality standards and knowhow, when it comes to the listing and selling of Classics and Exotics. The willing seller is given the opportunity to list their Car online “acegarage.co.za” with terms and conditions of sale. These terms filter the standard of vehicles on sale. Ace Garage then introduce the willing buyer and willing seller, if the buyer is willing to make an offer. All personal details are secured and provided on permissions. The purpose is to maintain integrity in the sale and provide protection to both buyer and seller, while filtering queries and adhoc requests. Both Buyers and Sellers trust Mark and the Ace Garage reputation in the industry.
We sell Classic and Exotic cars on your behalf.
The differences are:
- Your car stays with you
- We market the car on the sellers behalf
- We vet potential buyers
- We arrange the viewing of the car at agreed venue
- The sales is between the buyer and seller – direct transaction (no 3rd Party)
- We assist with the registrations where required
- We administer the logistics (transporting) of the car, on request, anywhere in South Africa
- On request, we assess the vehicle on behalf of the buyer, at the Classic Car workshop. * Informed buyers make good choices.
- Buyers who are in the market may list themselves on the Ace Garage Buyers Database. They will be notified when a suitable car becomes available, before listing it online.
The benefits are:
- Deals are 100% transparent – Both Seller and Buyer are aware of the price
- Only serious buyers are introduced to the car
- Introductions are carried out in a safe environment
- Risk is significantly reduced in the selling process
Terms of Selling your car with Ace Garage:
Sellers cost is only 10% of the selling price
Sellers are invoiced after the deal is concluded Registration, Inspection, Logistics, Repairs or Services are quoted and agreed between the Seller, Buyer and Ace Garage before the transaction takes place
